Handsome Corgi Samwise “Sammy” Sterling was designated MAYOR OF HOUSE OF ENGLAND April 2026, a role he serves with distinction! Not surprising considering his unique talents.

Sammy is a therapy dog with Love on a Leash and does volunteer visits to schools and workplaces needing a little comfort and cheer. He is also the canine captain for Team Low Rider, which participates every year in the San Diego Humane Society Walk for Animals.

Professional cat wrangler Sammy has three cat roommates! He makes sure none of them get outside, and alert Mom & Dad whenever one of them is hungry and asking for food.

Sammy’s mom is Geri Sterling, a wonderful friend to House of England, and a creative organizer of the fun Corgi Meetup Group. (Find that group HERE and see Geri on IG calicorgigirl for more pics of Sammy.)

Sammy leads the crew every year at the House of England’s annual Lawn Program “Corgi Parade,” a highlight of the day.
